Name: ??? D.O.B.: 7/26/07 Origin: Daughter of Amber
When we bred Amber, we were very curious as to what her baby would look like…would it be white? Would it be red? Or a mixture? Well we have our answer. Here she is:
But now, we can’t figure out what to call her. We need some help picking her name. So what do you think?
If none of these names seem to fit, you can also leave us suggestions (or just say hi) in the comments section below.
Name: Little Red D.O.B: 11/6/06 Origin: Daughter of MS2 (or Baby MS), Granddaughter to MS
MS, MS2 and now MS3 (or Little Red) are owned by some friends of ours. They take the young heifers to raise and show in 4H events and return the animal when they’re ready to be bred. We’re sure she’ll receive another name from her owners but for the short time she’s with us, we’ll call her Little Red.
Amber is a White Milking Shorthorn that we recently purchased from the East Hill Farm in Troy, NH. She is still pretty young, though she has had a calf and is currently milking.
She’s not a very big cow, but she’s still growing. She has been very loud in the barn since we acquired her. One reason might be that she was around people almost all the time at her old farm. Now if you’re in the barn, but not near her she’ll scream. If you’re near her, she’s quiet and content.
From what I know, White Milking Shorthorns are pretty rare. She is a registered animal.
This is the Milking Shorthorn, or MS for short. She’s a very docile cow, sort of goofy looking, and has bad knees. She gives a lot of milk though, and isn’t too high maintenance.
